Pandaw - Mekong River and Tonle Sap Cruises
|
|
| Cruising the Mekong River and gliding across the vast expanse of the Tonle Sap lake (South East Asia’s largest) on one of the Pandaw cruise ships is pure luxury! The much loved Pandaw fleet of boats owned and operated by the Irrawaddy Flotilla Company will be familiar to many veteran travellers. The original Pandaw was a Scots built paddle steamer refitted to a high standard of comfort with deluxe staterooms. The intention was to recreate the atmosphere of the colonial steamers that carried royal princes, viceroys and a succession of famous artists, writers and poets, and this has been fulfilled admirably. Steaming along the waterways between Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), Phnom Penh, and Siem Reap (with occasional diversions to Kompong Cham & Kratie), is a stylish method of travelling to and from the wonderful Angkor temples.
