Johnnie Walker Cambodian Open (Nov 29 to Dec 2 2007) |
|
Siem Reap, the home of the magnificent Angkor Wat temples, is to host Cambodia’s first ever Asian PGA Tour golf tournament. The inaugural $300,000 Johnnie Walker Cambodian Open will be played at the newly opened Phokeethra Country Club, and over 100 of the regions best players are expected to compete. As Asia’s newest golf destination Cambodia is throwing open its doors and welcoming golfers from around the world. The Johnnie Walker Cambodian Open is a great opportunity to see how golf in Cambodia is developing as you watch the event at the Phokeethra Country Club. As well as spectating, once you have been inspired by your golfing heroes you can try to imitate them by playing a round or two at the Nick Faldo designed Angkor Golf Course. And of course as you are in the home of the amazing Angkor Temples when taking a break from the golf you can explore these marvellous monuments to the mighty Khmer Empire.
Asia Adventures is proud to be involved in this auspicious occasion in the history of golf in Cambodia and as such we are offering a selection of excellent golf holiday packages to complement the Johnnie Walker Cambodian Open.
