Prek Thnout Cambodia Eco-tourism
Prek Thnout is situated in Kampot Province, between Preah Sihanouk Povince and Kampot Town. It is partially located within the Bokor National Park and can be reached by bus, minibus or taxi. From Kampot Town it takes a 30 kilometers (19 miles) ride along National Road 3 or a 90 kilometers (56 miles) drive from Preah Sihanouk Province along National Road No. 4.

There is plenty to do and discover in Prek Thnout village. Visitors can hike along the boardwalk of the mangrove forests to one of the waterfalls or join a guided walk to gain knowledge about traditional ceremonies, local cuisine and the environment in general. You can also go swimming in the streams or learn more about non-timber-forest-products like rattan or bamboo which are grown in Kampot Province. During a night boat trip through the mangrove forest many fireflies will appear and create an even more special atmosphere. Other provided activities are: Experiencing traditional livelihoods and enjoy the rural Cambodian lifestyle, watching traditional sea-fishing activities and the process of preparing seafood in the traditional way, taking a closer look at a Rattan handicraft production and weaving center or stay overnight at a local guesthouse.
